Rhode Island is actively courting job creation in the blockchain space, with their government leaders attending the 2018 Blockchain Summit . Governor Raimondo, GMedia and the Blockchain Token Association really pulled out all the stops to pitch a blockchain ecosystem backed by cooperative legislation. Jeff Keni Pulver and Steven Nerayoff of Alchemist lent the proceedings the business and technical gravitas that brought the conference home.

About 100 representatives of blockchain companies gathered for an all-day conference at the Omni Providence Hotel and heard from a lineup of current and former government officials, including Democratic Gov. Gina Raimondo.

The Providence Journal reports all of the officials were consistent in saying they want blockchain technology companies to come to Rhode Island.
